This piece doesn’t have reign markings on the bottom. Since that was a characteristic of early Chinese porcelain, and since this was an estate sale find, I’m using that information to date the piece. It was displayed on this rather ornate brass stand riser. It’s not a snug fit, so I’m not sure if the two were only put together for the auction.
I was attracted right away to the unusual colors, with the reds seeming almost orange, and the greens aquamarine-certainly an attention getter. There are no cracks or chips, and the bowl has only slight wear on the bottom. See less
