Amazing, ultra rare example of American 1950's era studio art pottery from James Crumrine (1925-1993.) Very few of these larger colorful pieces ever come into circulation, this is truly a museum quality piece.
We did find information that the Smithsonian Museum and Archives of American Art are looking for biographical information and materials relating to Crumrine for The American Craft Museum, and another reference to him by contemporary potter Michael Boyer (who studied with him) as "one of the original studio potters in the 40's and 50's".
This bowl measures approximately 15.75" length x 12.25 width x 3.5" height.
