Antique Persian Mashhad Hotel Lobby Size Rug with Art Nouveau Style 15'09 x 19'00. Characterizing the lavish curvilinear style of Art Nouveau, this sublime antique Persian Mashhad rug features an ornate center medallion surrounded by an allover floral pattern and arabesque spandrels. The meandering botanical motifs and ornate floral embellishments cover the opulent burgundy wine colored field with layers of meticulous details. Multiple series of guard bands and the main border are filled with lush botanical foliage, elaborating the design to a point of incredible intricacy and complexity. The bold and saturated color palette consists of burgundy wine, navy blue, light blue, pink, ivory and red with accents of beige, brown, tan and sage green.
