Carved from solid teak wood, these wonderfully modelled, opposing Foo dogs are truly entertaining. Each dog has a unique facial expression, body position and billowing tail. The eyes are made of thick glass producing a realistic feeling of depth and the teeth are made of carved bone. One of the dogs embraces a smaller pup. Late 18th, possibly early 19th century.
