Charming and full of personality, this signed etching by Diana Thorne (1895-1963) captures a humorous moment in classic canine style. Titled "Social Climbers," the composition shows a group of eager puppies admiring a regal pack of pampered dogs perched above them on steps. Known for her expressive and affectionate portrayals of dogs, Thorne was one of the most celebrated animal illustrators of the early 20th century.
