While the … Read more Offered is a lovely large pink cake or canapé platter by Lancaster Glass Company, produced in the 1930s. While the term for much of the glass produced during this era is "Depression Glass", there is nothing depressing about this piece. It is a very soft pink, almost a blush pink tone, and while the design of the lace detail was used on many of their collections, this piece's pattern is referred to as "Open Work Pink (No Decoration)", with no etched detail or textured surface. In 1924, the company was acquired by Anchor Hocking, who continued to produce glass under the Lancaster Glass Company name until 1937. These pieces were hand blown and made between 1930 and early 1940s, since discontinued. Description: Pink, Lace Edge Border
