The interior of the charger has … Read more Chinese porcelain red dragons charger, with a white glazed exterior, interior and inset base. The interior of the charger has finely drawn, iron red, double dragons with gilt highlights, cavorting amid the branches of a chrysanthemum tree on the left and a peony tree on the right, enclosed by double red circles. The scalloped and dentate, shelf rim is outlined in a thin red trim line and has four, branching,double peony medallions with a flaming pearl of wisdom quartered on its shelf. The exterior sides are decorated with three, iron red, flaming pearls of wisdom. A blue, six character, Kangxi, reign mark within double blue circles is glazed at the center of the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu, plate stand is included. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
