Portrait of Man is an Original Drawing, ink pencil and white lead on ivory paper realized by Antoine Alphonse Montfort. Hand signed on the lower margin. passepartout cm 36x31 Good condition. Antoine Alphonse Monfort (3 April 1802 – 28 September 1884) was a French painter, best known for his Orientalist landscapes and genre scenes. He became a pupil of Horace Vernet. He also received advice from the painter Théodore Géricault. For many years, he was a teacher at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
