Antique older American blue and white Chinoiserie ironstone plate in a Blue Willow lookalike pattern by Hopewell China which was located in Hopewell, Virginia. This factory was only business under this name from 1927 - 1938, which dates this piece to early 20th C. Shows signs of age including some overall crazing, yellowing, hairline crack, and a chip at the rim. We love these characteristics that only come with age and use, and we especially love the octagon shape!
A unique antique piece to add to a collection of Blue Willow from a maker that is not readily found. We believe the pattern name to be Hope Willow. Due to age, best suited for display. Crazing could be professionally lightened if so desired, though we love it just as it is.
