An 18th century French Louis XVI marquetry commode inlaid with veneers of mahogany, walnut and rosewood. Original Languedoc marble top. Two dovetailed drawers with original cast bronze hardware. Locks are present, but no keys. Slender tapered legs. The finish retains a nice luster. Minor veneer losses have been replaced. This chest was refinished at some point. The bottom drawer runners were restored. A well proportioned commode in good condition.
