Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig (Italian, 1896-1945). Rare club chair with a restored charcoal enamel finish, Circa 1930. (Pagano was an important functionalist architect who worked in Turin, Italy, in the late 1920s.) Unmarked. The chair has a functionalist art deco design, and a minimalist design with curved arms, and most notably the back width measuring 21.75 inches and flares out slightly to 23.5 inches wide across the front. An accompanying 20 inch feather and down 'Loggia Stripe' pillow in charcoal and blue stripes, is included with the purchase. Approximate dimensions; 26H, 21.75W (back), 23.5W Front), 26.75D.
Provenance; Chair and pillow acquired from the Dessin Fournir collection after closing their Kansas and California warehouses.
