Dramatic pair of large lava finish mid-century modern lamps by Quartite Lamp Corp. These vintage 1960s lamps come complete with their original shades designed and woven by Los Angeles textile designer Maria Kipp.
The finish consists of shades of sea green with subtle blue striations.
Shades are natural reed with striking lime and blue fibers.
The lamps sit on Danish modern walnut bases.

Condition of the lamps is very good considering age and use. * Very minor imperfections at each base. These have been oiled and are in good condition as of 08.18.23. * Electrics are original but in good working condition. Shades have some issues with their interior paper frames such as: * Interior watermarks to both lamp shades at their bottoms as shown in photos. * Discoloration and yellowing of paper interior as to be expected. * Wear in various spots of the interior of shades. * Crumple of one section of paper at the top. This is not visible from standard perspectives. * The weaving of shades is in very good condition. * Shades have had glue applied to help with sagging.
