Early 20th Century Indian carved wood storage cash footed box used by merchants in their stores and also in every house to store money and jewelry or valuable documents.
Hand-carved wooden Indian tribal storage chest box with hand-wrought iron hinges and straps, and handle.
Shekhawati Merchant's Box from Rajasthan, India constructed of wood and ornamented with hand carved border designs. It has hand forged iron corner straps and a center latch, plus a handle for carrying. 
Hand carved wood and hammered wrought iron with engraving.

The box opens at hinges next to the pivoting carrying handle at the top with plenty of room for storage. 
This large wooden box is the perfect storage piece as it stands on rounded legs and is accented with decorative metal bindings.
