Lovely 1940’s or 50’s Japanese … Read more Mid 20th Century Japanese Kutani Celadon Shaped Porcelain Vases With Grapevine Design - a Pair. Lovely 1940’s or 50’s Japanese Studio Art Pottery vases! These lovely Vases are in very good condition with very minor imperfections but no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some small signs of residue inside the vases which show they were well loved and used.

The Design shows grapevines circling each vase with bunches of grapes hanging from each vine. The Vases have finely potted celadon bodies.

One Vase has what appears to be an import stamp on it that is difficult to read. It appears to be “Made In USC “HLDS”. My research did not determine what this means for Japanese Imports.

The Vases would enhance your mantle, bookcase, or foyer table. They would enhance a Chinoiserie, Traditional, Farm, Midcentury or Shabby Chic decor.
