An exceptionally fine well figured Satinwood Marquetry Ladies or Gentlemans Jewellery Casket of outstanding quality and condition, last quarter of the Nineteenth Century
The hinged lid with allover mahogany marquetry inlay depicting scrolling leaves and branches, the front and all sides with similar decoration. The interior with attractive lift-out sectional covered tray. Raised on four polished brass ball supports.
Condition: Professionally restored to an exceptional standard, few old repairs at sides, one inside cover is slightly warped.
