The chairs are highly stylized and influenced by the designs of Italian furniture maker Paolo Buffa. The chairs are by Maxwell Royal, American designed and made in Hickory, North Carolina, USA. Some dealer's refer to it as a high-backed Chieftain armchair. The pair has been expertly recovered in a fabulous forest green velvet and sit in excellent condition following a complete restoration.
