The smaller vase … Read more Beautiful vintage Danish pair of bone white and orange, brown and tan colors ceramic art flower vases. The smaller vase has deeper colors, even black. The matching vases are fully signed underneath "Royal Copenhagen - Denmark - Faience" in a green glaze, with crown, waves and maybe a mountain design at the bottom. Both are also numbered in black 962/3763 and 962/3764, with another mark on the right sides. They are consecutive model numbers. The design looks like abstract landscapes with clouds or flowers in warm fall colors. it reminds me of the "Batik" wax technique for textiles. You can feel the glaze with your fingers.
Likely designed by Danish ceramist Ivan Weiss circa 1960-1970s. I am not familiar with the designer, or what name the pattern is called. I am sure those of you looking at the listing will know better than me. Would make great display pieces on any dresser, or console table. Mid-century era. Offers considered.
Large vase measures 10 3/4" tall x 3 3/4" wide - Small vase measures 7 3/4" tall x 3 1/4" wide.
