Very fine and uncommon, Qianlong period, borderless famille rose charger, of octagonal form. Due to the form and fine enamel blending I suspect this dates to around 1750. It was broken and staple repaired long ago, and while it could be restored, I personally prefer the charming repair.
A matching set of twelve dinner plates was deaccessioned from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2016, via Christie’s sale 14481, lot 1918.
