The fine … Read more Mid-Century teak nightstands by Kuperes, model called 'Horatio', pictured in the 1964 'Goed Wonen' magazine, catalogue, pg 60. The fine teak material makes a perfect compliment to the thin black metal frames, which create a floating, light appearance. The clean, angular shapes are very symbolic for post-war European design, reflecting the new era of Danish style inspired furniture. During the sixties. Dutch company Kuperus was clearly influenced by the designs of Auping ( Carrelle series ), Cees Braakman / Pastoe ( Japanese series ) and Hans Wegner.

Both great condition, minor marks. Color and grain difference but both are teak. One is 31 depth, one is 30.5 cm depth.
