This is a stunning pair of double cane Louis XVI heavily carved giltwood armchairs. I would consider these formal chairs perfect for the Grandmillinial trend. The only areas that need upholstery are the seats and arm pads. I think these are from around the 1970s and are not older antiques. That is one reason the condition is great. I think the lines will blend nicely with more modern pieces. These are fine chairs and we were told were probably produced in Italy. Very comfortable.
Condition: Solid structurally with finish looking great. No cane breaks. You will want to redo the fabric.
