This etching by Howard Hodgkin is from a set of four, all set in the "Museum of Art". For this series he changed the plates slightly for each pair. 'Late Afternoon' is paired with his other print 'Early Evening", where Hodgkin adds shadows and blacks out part of the image to add to the illusion of evening.
