After traveling the world and spending several years in Japan learning from a family of potters she returned to California to earn a masters degree in art and sculpture. With a commission to create dishes for a local restaurant Great Impressions was born. Crafted of fine Stoneware, Great Impressions pieces are functional and durable, lead free and fired to 2300 degrees. Each piece is hand Painted and glazed taking approximately 2 weeks to complete a single piece. This piece is inscribed and dated 1999 on the bottom. Delightful to the eye and a pleasure to use. With the lid off to the side it makes a fabulous vessel for fresh cut flowers, full of Pumpkin Soup it is the star of the Dinner Party! See less
