Mimasu daigoro iv is an original modern artwork realized by utagawa hirosada (japanese, active 1825–75) in 1851. Original woodcut chuban diptych, 1851. Mimasu daigoro iv in the role of the money lender namiki shozo and nakamura utaemon iv in the role of danshichi mohei in the play yadonashi danshichi shigure no karakasa. Signed hirosada. Excellent impression with visible baren printing lines and wood grain, blind printing (cherry blossoms in namiki's robe), backed, cut, few wormholes, a little bit faded and rubbed, few stains. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
