Striking antique Art Nouveau Inkwell from the famous German company of Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik. The desk accessory has a figure of a beautiful young woman or girl with long flowing hair in high relief on one side of it, the figure gently frames the shaped dish. The inkwell with a hinged lid containing the original glass insert.
Signed with the WMF factory impressed marks as shown.
German, circa 1900.
Condition is very good.
Ready to adorn any desk - modern or traditional - a conversation piece. Can also be used as a catchall or trinket box/dish.
