Pietro Fabris (1740-1793 Italy/England), View of Mount Etna from Catania
Watercolor on engraving, Plate XXXVI for Campi Phlegraei c.1776, Sir William Hamilton (1730-1803 UK). British Ambassador to Naples and Vulcanologist whose master work was Campi Phlegraei (Fields of Fire) published 1776
Framed in double glass with image on one side and the reverse having explanation of image in English and Italian.
Wood frame measures 20" x 14 1/4", engraving measures 15.5" x 8.5"
Excellent condition. Hook at back needs screw.
