The Mid Century Modern poster print is printed in Denmark in 1968 in an unnumbered limited edition by Permild & Rosengreen. It features a Pop Art artwork image of the legendary British Rock & Roll musical band " The Beatles ", created by the artist Richard Bernstein.

Richard Bernstein ( 1939 - 2002 ) is most widely known as the creator of Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine distinctive covers for seventeen years. His paintings with their foundation in Pop Art and classical portraiture offer a synthesis of style that is strikingly powerful, captivating, and iconic.

A fixture at Studio 54 and with the fashion and art insiders, he captured the allure of The Disco Era through his iconic hyper-colored graphic portraits of superstars for the covers of Interview Magazine. Bernstein's bold and graphic artwork was so complimentary to Warhol's that it was often thought that Warhol created the covers himself. Yet it was Bernstein, an American artist and art director, whose distinctive craft of embellishing photographs with pastels, stencils, and airbrushing, monumentalized his subjects into dazzling larger than life Pop Art incarnations of themselves.

In 1984 Bernstein released his first book " Megastar " commemorating his fine celebrity portraits. The first edition of the coffee table book, printed in three languages was completely sold out making it a valuable collector's item.

In 1990 Bernstein was commissioned by The World Federation of The United Nations Association to create the first postal stamp for the new decade, placing him in the company of Warhol, Calder, and Picasso who have similarly been honored. Artworks by Bernstein can be seen in the exhibitions and collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed lithograph print Pop Art poster measures 29 1/2" W X 24 7/8" H X 1" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern royal blue satin finish metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling, and very light minor surface wear.
