This set of Bamboo Vases in Celadonware, in the English Jade Color - are from one of the last 2 … Read more This set of Bamboo Vases in Celadonware, in the English Jade Color - are from one of the last 2 Celadon makers in the mountains of Chiang Mai Thailand.
They are made of stoneware - much heavier than ceramic. The glaze - English Jade, is more of an olive color, this is one of the two colors made in Thailand (the other being the more prevalent Celadon green). The glaze appears to be more of a wash of color with the classic crackle finish with deep coloration in the relief of the design.
On a mantle or a table, alone or together, they are simple and natural. They would also look great down the center of a dining table with fresh flowers or branches in them for a great centerpiece!
Vases measure Sm: 4” wide outside opening, 3.25” inside opening, 8.75” tall.
