A set of four Japanese porcelain footed serving dishes. Each in the form of a stylized crane with detailed plumage.
In Japan the crane is symbolic of luck, longevity and fidelity. The plates with relief molded feathers behind the bird's head. Beautiful glaze technique. Measure 8 1/8" x 8 1/8" x 1 3/8" tall from the table. Marked with incised characters on the underside. Good condition.
