Coalport is the original source of this popular pattern, which continued to be made into the 20th century. These pieces combine transfer decoration with handpainted colors and details along with gilded highlights. These are accompanied by six later round matching transfer plates with gilt rims made by a different English porcelain laker, John Maddock and Sons, ca. early 20th century.
