Vintage Hans Wegner "The Chair" or Round Chair, model JH 501, built by Johannes Hansen, in solid teak with its original cane seat. The caning is mostly intact with a some breaks that are not ultimately distracting.
A fine example of Scandinavian design, fully signed with Johannes Hansen brand.
During the first nationally televised United States presidential debate in 1960 Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy each sat in one of these armchairs.
