Richard III is an original ink and watercolor drawing realized by Charles Amelot (1759-1830). Good condition, included a white cardboard passpartout (37.5x55 cm). The artwork represents Clarence who chooses death in a barrel of Malvoisé. Charles Amelot French, 18th – 19th century, male. Born 1759, in Paris; died after 1830. Painter. Landscapes, entered the Académie Royale in Paris on 24 September 1778 and worked under Durameau and Doyen; he was still there in 1791. His landscapes are organised in an 18th-century manner, but display a new interest in naturalism\.\. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
