An 18th century French Louis XV style marble top serpentine front marquetry commode. Made of solid walnut with inlaid marquetry veneer of walnut. Original 1.25" thick marble top. Brass hardware with upper lock in working condition, but not the bottom lock. Note: the bottom left medallion of the ring pull is slightly different, as found. Pine and oak as secondary woods. Waxed finish. Restoration on front right leg and replacement of back left leg. Small scale with nice proportions, perfect for use as a bedside table or nightstand. Circa 1740-1750. 29"W x 19.5 x 30.5"H
In good condition for an antique over 240 years of age.
