A large rectangular mirror that could serve as a pier mirror, a tall dressing mirror or, if turned horizontally, as an overmantel mirror. Crisply carved, the deep egg and dart gives way to a cavetto moulding and a water leaf carved inner filet. Beveled mirror plate is later. Gilded surface is attractively patinated, with some wear, some natural distress: loss to gilding and red clay bole showing.
