Officier Tartare is an original artwork realized by the French artist Jean Baptiste Le Prince (1734-1781) Etching on paper. Signed, dated on plate on the left corner, titled on plate in the middle. Passepartout included: 48.5x32.5 Good Conditions. Jean Baptiste Le Prince (1734-1781) was a painter active in France in mid-XVIII century, and disciple of François Boucher. His first paintings are painted in a rococo style . In 1765, he was accredited to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
