The brutalist style beverage serving set is made in The Mid Twentieth Century in Mexico City by the Modernist artisan designer glass blower Felipe Derflingher. He called it " Imprisoned Glass " sometimes known as caged glass. Made by welding brass metal ( with diamond, square, or circle cut outs ) into cylinders and hand blowing molten glass from broken bottles into the cylinder so it bulges through the openings. The metal is then discolored under intense heat to give it the blackened look and feel of Medieval craftsmanship.

Combining metal and rehabilitated glass bottles, the result is a unique beauty of exquisite crude craftsmanship in a Modernist Brutalist style. Derflingher's signature pieces have been created for impressive clients and collectors worldwide.

The eight piece decanter bottle & glasses beverage serving set includes the following pieces :
