A set of two Royal Doulton China teacups and saucers. Glazed in a textured serpent texture around the rim, the saucers are decorated with fine handpainted gold. Pink flowers with green leaves on garlands are painted around the edges. The bottoms are stamped with the Royal Doulton stamp in blue with a Lion at the top and crown. Royal Doulton England is stamped around a round medallion with RdN626468 in gold. Also, in black, is painted E9673.
The teacups are mismatched. Each is crisp white, with a blue band around the edges. One cup has a gold-painted rim on top of the blue band. One of the teacups is marked with J.H. Middleton & Co Delphine China, Made in England. The other teacup is unmarked.
