At first glance, it's a cool little gothic-style pedestal table. But when you look more closely, you'll find on each side of the base different images that represent definitive US symbols: a shield with stripes, surrounded by a circle of stars; the Liberty Bell, with the inscription "1776"; an eagle holding arrows and what context would suggest are olive branches; and, what appear to be both the Betsy Ross and modern-day American flags.

The top appears to be marble, and that wood grain base is not wood at all, but what I believe to be ceramic. The table is solid and sturdy, with some chips, particularly at the bottom of the base, as pictured.
