Otto Gerharz, inventor of the 'fat lava' technique, worked for Ruscha Ceramics in the 1950s.
In 1964 he founded his own studio, 'Otto Keramik'.
Later, his son, Otto Junior, continues the tradition. He still uses the same molds and techniques as his father.
This beautifully stylized elephant is less known than Otto Keramik's other animals.
Each model is unique and handmade. No 2 pieces are ever the same.
