In 1945, photographer Andre de Dienes met an aspiring model by the name of Norma Jean Baker. The two began a professional relationship that blossomed into a brief romance. In a few short years, Norma Jean would mesmerize the world as Marilyn Monroe. This wonderful first limited edition collection is a visual glimpse of a fresh faced California girl prior to her rise as a global icon. Aside from the extensive hardcover book of beautiful photographs, this collection also contains a booklet with reprints of the 24 magazine covers that de Dienes shot of Norma Jean, as well as a softcover reproduction of de Dienes' Marilyn memoirs and notes that the photographer kept during his relationship with the megastar.
