Vintage Italian handmade and painted lidded jar by Fratelli Fanciullacci, attributed to Aldo Londi, and dated prior to the ceramic … Read more Vintage Italian handmade and painted lidded jar by Fratelli Fanciullacci, attributed to Aldo Londi, and dated prior to the ceramic artist's 1935 departure for Bitossi. The jar has an embossed design and a rustic, almost primitive, appearance. It is glazed in dark green with robin's egg blue, chartreuse and terra cotta decoration. Without lid, the bowl measures 2.75"H. There is some age and use wear, a few chips -- most notably on the lid handle -- and glaze wear but no cracks. Unsigned. Fratelli Fanciullacci operated in Italian from the mid-1850s to the late 1980s. See less
