This Balustrian form on Piédouche is a production of Accolay potters. His speckled particular enamel is typical of Accolay productions, in a light and bright blue. The body of the vase is nicely turned and of pleasant proportion. The ceramics are brilliant, of a great presence, with a particularly decorative sophisticated aspect.
The vase is very good, the enameling is nuanced in blue, thick shades. The vase is in good condition, a little lack of material at the foot. The room is signed by hand in the mass on the cheek.
6-10cm in diameter, 16cm high.
In the middle of the 20th century, Acrolay was the setting for a real ceramic revolution. Four former students of Alexandre Kostanda settled in the small village of the Yonne in the mid -1940s, many potters will follow their example. For forty years, the production of Accolay potters will be impressive, original and daring, characterized by thick, often speckled enamels and crazy creativity. This piece has an attribution mark,
