This set of Limoges Dinner Plates are quite rare. The set consists of six different designs, two each in
the set. The designs are very reminiscent of European Chinoisery decor used by many Porceiain
companies from the 18th century to mid century in various interpretations.
Porcelain manufactured in and around the town of Limoges, is known as
hardpaste Porcelain. The porcelains fired near Limoges retain their much
desired special translucency. Many fine artisans painted and still paint under
the umbrellay of "Limoges" , Mdme. Tallien, having been one of the most
famous in the 20th century.
