Purchased in early 20th century from a noted Pittsburgh, PA interior designer, Arthur Dimling. They are lovely 19th century, probably French.. The finish is antiqued bronze patina. The shades are ecru raw silk, designed and handcrafted by Mr Dimlings lampshade seamstress... they do have some spots (see photos) Each is lit by three bent tip frosted 40 watt candelabra base bulbs (included). Original plug and on/off switch on cord. They are hefty, and stable. They were on a sideboard on either side of a large Georgian mirror in my grandmothers dining room. The appraisers description is : Electrified oil lamps having tapered columnar shafts embellished with slight leaf and berry repose motif leading to high trumpet feet terminating in square bases. Further enhanced with cast foliate collars and finished with fine raw silk shades. I am limited on quantity of listing photographs.. please ask for any additional details or photos. My dimensions are approximate. Shade top 4 1/4 " diameter, shade base is 10" diameter Shade at fullest point is 11 1/2" diameter.
