A member of the San Diego Art Guild, Elizabeth exhibited frequently throughout Southern California in the 1920s and 1930s, occasionally winning awards for her work. She studied and worked in Paris, New York and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and went on painting trips to North Africa and Spain. One of her still-life paintings was exhibited at the California Pacific International Exposition in 1935, but she was known primarily as a portrait painter.
