The lithograph print Pop Art poster is published on the occasion of The Chicago International Art Exposition by The Lakeside Group in cooperation with Wayne Thiebaud, copyright 1990 Wayne Thiebaud, published by Rohner Printing, Chicago Illinois, a limited edition print by Trillium Graphics, Brisbane, California.

Wayne Thiebaud ( 1920 - 2021 ) is an American painter widely known for his luscious handling of paint, and brilliant colorful palette of works depicting commonplace objects that combined sensuousness, nostalgia and a hint of melancholy. Thiebaud is associated with The Pop Art Movement because of his interest in objects of mass culture. Although his early works, executed during the 1950's and 1960's, slightly predate the works of classic Pop artists. He uses heavy pigment and exaggerated colors to depict his subjects, and the well defined shadows characteristic of advertisements are almost always included in his work. Art works by Thiebaud are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print large format framed Pop Art poster print measures 28 1/4" W X 40 1/4" H X 1 5/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish black wood museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
