Chinese porcelain polychrome panels lidded ginger jar, six floral medallions sextupled on the body on top of twelve alternating panels, … Read more Chinese porcelain polychrome panels lidded ginger jar, six floral medallions sextupled on the body on top of twelve alternating panels, four of a cobalt blue and gold glazed crosshatch pattern, two of a red, gold and white glazed branching floral pattern, two of a red and gold glazed flower in a blue and gold glazed lattice pattern, two of a red, white and gold glazed stylized Fu Bat on a green glazed dotted ground, and two with red glazed meanders and green glazed Wan characters in a gold glazed lattice. A band of blue and white arabic characters wraps the foot above a blue and gold glazed meander border. The lid is topped with a gold and white glazed onion ferrule, with two floral medallions beneath a gold glazed radiating lattice of twelve white glazed panels, a blue and gold glazed border at the flange with four cartouches of pink and gold glazed flowers on a green glazed dotted ground, ending in a gilt ring around the lip. White glazed interior and inset base. A red glazed six character Chenghua reign mark is glazed to the inset base. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. See less
