This very dense and heavy hardwood figure of a horse is well detailed with intricate carving of hair on tail and mane with fine hooves and facial details with inset glass eyes, glass eyes may be later as they do not match. The horse is carved from an extremely high quality dense hardwood with intricate grain that looks alot like Huanghuali. We believe this horse dates to the 19th century but may be earlier.

Condition: Some damages to the main and ears of the horse. Small chip to hair on right front hoof. Eyes might be added later, some age splitting in the wood.
