We believe this wood figure to possibly be from the Dogon tribe of Mali, based on the pose of the figure but the face style is very different then other examples so perhaps it is a different Tribe. The figure represents a female maternity figure with large pregnant belly and breasts. Most likely mid to late 20th century.

Condition: Both arms are broken, heavy surface patina.
