The Piero Fornasetti Themes & Variation design is made on Rosenthal porcelain. The pattern, Motiv 27, is rare in that it is rarely seen. The design, inspired by the renowned soprano Lina Cavalieri's face is rather surreal in design with half the plate showing the right side of her face and the other three closeups of her of different sizes.
Dimensions: 9 1/4 inches x 1 1/4 inches
Mark: Rosenthal, Germany / Fornasetti / Dekor: Temi e variazioni' and the plate's ('Motiv') number 27 in gray on black colors.
