Stunning Sgraffito vase from 1922 by Josef Ekberg for Gustavsberg, Sweden. Flower motif in Swedish Jugend (or Art Nouveau) style decorates the vase in blue shades. Josef Ekberg was a Swedish ceramic artist that worked at Gustavsberg between 1889-1945. He is most known for his Sgraffito technique that he developed at Gustavsberg. His signature is visible at the bottom of the vase together with the year made and Gustavsberg. Age appropriate wear with small marks and overall in a very good condition.
